Meet Jess Markwood, editor of social fashion website OSOYOU.com, in this Q&A.

My job involves…
All sorts of exciting things! As the OSOTeam is a small one, my role doesn’t just cover writing content and designing pretty pages. I also get stuck into the commercial and merchandising sides of the business too.

There’s always something to do and in the two years I’ve been at OSOYOU now, I’ve never been bored!

My job is great because…
I get to look at and write about gorgeous clothes all day long and claim it’s my job, what more could a girl ask for?

My tip for getting a job in online fashion would be…
When you start out, all you’ll hear is internships, internships, internships. Think small to begin with, apply to the fashion blogs – they’re always looking for talented free contributors.

This way, you can build up your portfolio and they get some extra content, so everyone’s a winner really. And take every opportunity to network you can get your hands on – nepotism is key in this industry.
