Childrensalon.com, launched in 1999, is the go to website for children’s designer clothing. The Childrensalon shop in Kent (below) has been running since 1952.

Sorcha Harriman-Smith, Creative Director says “Childrensalon.com stocks the widest range of designer fashion and gifts for children of 0-16 year. We started in 1952 and remained an independent family business, launching our international website in 1999. We have developed and nurtured our expertise in the childrenswear market over 57 years and are well known for excellent customer service.”

On getting a job in e-commerce Sorcha (left) says “Work hard and make sure know your stuff. Keeping up-to-date with what’s out there in the online community and how it’s being used is imperative. You need to have a genuine passion for what you’re doing and be prepared to work long hours, fast deadlines and high-pressure.”
